Day 1: Arrive Paro International Airport- Paro (via Air)-Thimphu
Fly to Paro. Arrive Paro airport. Drive to Thimphu- 55 KMS/2 Hrs. On arrival check in and overnight stay.On arrival take a hotel. Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan located on a picaresque valley. There are lines of modern buildings, restaurants and shops in the city centre. It is also home to Buddhist monasteries.
Day 2: Thimphu
You would explore Thimphu valley and its attractions. Visit the Tashichhodzong, Memorial Chorten, National Library, Arts & Craft School, Textile & Folk Heritage Museum and Handicraft Emporium. The Buddhist attractions in Thimphu are Dechen Phrodrang Monastery, Tango Monastery and Cheri Monastery. Explore the local markets. You can pick up souvenirs made by the Bhutanese tribes. Day 3: Thimphu-Dochu-la pass –Paro (95 KMS/3 Hrs)
Ater breakfast, drive to Dochu-la pass (3,088m/ 10,130 ft) to view Druk Wangyal Chortens with colourful prayer flags surrounding the area. With Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck’s initiative, these chortens were built to honour His Majesty the 4th Druk Gyalpo and his people for their victory in the war fought in the southern region of Bhutan in 2003 and for the benefit of all sentient beings.
Day 4: Paro
Enjoy your sightseeing in Paro town. The royal buildings of the town are a quite contrast to the traditional lifestyle of the local ethnic groups. Visit Durkgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress and the traditional farm houses to feel more of Bhutanese way of life. Overnight stay at Paro hotel.
Day 5: Departure Airport
Departure transfer to Paro International Airport. Fly to home.
